I think your perspective, whether reiterated in full or in part, is critical and necessary every now and again to recalibrate our own.
The function of government, the [mis]use of capital, the self-serving systems and the irony in between all of it is something that we tend to light sight of whenever we're prompted to focus on particular and immediate situations/case studies (COVID, Ukraine).
The more we can shake the tendency to fixate on the immediate and the more we can expand our tunnel visions of focus, the more we distinguish ourselves from simple biological creatures that have little temporal awareness.
Not sure why it's proving so difficult for us to rise above the cultural tribalism or the divisive politics; at least it means something to be able to do so.
