I think that's why it's a question that has echoed throughout history without any firm answer stealing the show.. There's no winning when you play its game - like you say.

I think we'll come to find, however we come to find it, that we're either asking the wrong question in the wrong way or that the answer is something wholly incomprehensible to us - at least in our current state of existence or our current mortal form.
