Do you think it possible that we'll ever get to a point whereby we can leverage this understanding of consciousness in a way that helps us alter the perceptions, emotions, thoughts (all that which goes future to past)?
On an individual level, this can be done with a few bucketloads of awareness. But on a collective level, it seems like we're always a few steps behind ourselves - almost a generation's worth of lag (a generation learns from that which preceded it).
If we were to act more instantaneously, we could have a lot figured out but, instead, the riots and bipartisan tribalism and silencing of truth-seekers (like Assange) continues because we've simply grown tired and frustrated with ourselves.
I make it a point to try and unify divisive opinion as much as possible and contextualize all of human action as the actions of one species learning from each other. If we look at what's happening in the West right now (or in the world at all times), it's simply as if we're learning by way of constant temper tantrums and self-sabotage.
But if we can develop a faster response mechanism to all these conscious processes and better understand how perceptions and emotions bubble up from circumstances, we can hopefully tame this instinct to divide and argue at every juncture.
Maybe too whimsical of a hope
